IPV4 NETWORK PLANNING
Turn an address into a complete subnet plan.
Enter an IPv4 address and CIDR prefix. See the network boundary, host range and capacity without sending the address anywhere.

What the CIDR number controls
Network boundary
The prefix identifies how many leading bits describe the network. A larger prefix creates a smaller subnet.
Host capacity
The remaining bits identify addresses inside the subnet. Traditional subnets reserve the network and broadcast addresses.
Routing summary
CIDR lets routers describe an entire address range with one concise route, such as 192.168.10.0/24.
Planning margin
Choose a subnet with enough usable addresses for current devices and realistic growth, without making the broadcast domain unnecessarily large.
The address and prefix stay in your browser. This application does not transmit or store subnet calculations.
